Butterscotch Sauce for Ice Cream Sundaes

Do not freeze.  Keeps about 3 weeks in the refrigerator.

1 lb dark brown sugar
1 c sugar
1 c half and half
1 stick butter
2 tsp vanilla
Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler.  Cook slowly, until thick.

Tops about 12 sundaes.
